This monotype was inspired by the interplay of blueberry branches and their shadows at the edge of Slough Pond in Brewster, MA. It was created by rolling transparent layers of color on to a plexiglas plate and then wiping away color in successive layers. I also used this composition as the subject for a small etching. Hi Leslie! WordPress does a good job… your prints look great here! I just this last fall had to explain to the Arts&Soul group at the Chatham UUMH what ‘palimpsest’ means… see you on the wine&cheese circuit this summer…
Those colors combination is very beautiful….I never thought green-yellow- orange looks this pretty with purple.
Just love this piece, Leslie – such a beautiful mood.
